CGI Animation Studios

El- Alamein City is the future extension for Alexandria and for the north coast in Egypt. This project was part of the future planning for this area as many other projects to make El-Alamein 2050 City. El-Alamein has a big history and many people all over the world came to visit one of the places of the world war two. So there must be a city with all facilities and entertainments possible for the visitors to spend a good time, for that all and to make a new city able to take the capacity of million citizens, it became a must to put on a planning and studies to build up the future city 2050.

This city will provide many job opportunities. Most of the jobs nowadays depend on graphics as: architects need graphics for visualizations of their projects, civil engineers to imagine connections, advertising, even dentists need graphics to show patient his teeth renovation, cinema this days is mainly graphics ...etc.

This project focuses on the computer graphics and animation production. The project consists of four zones.

The main zone for the 3D and the 2D studios, beside the ateliers for the storyboard and prototype models and characters. The second zone for the gallery and exhibition to show the visitors the production and projects processes. The third zone is a cinema for the work team and invited artists and graphic designers to watch and judge the animation produced. The last zone is special for children to show them how their best movies and cartoons were created, beside a fun zone to play with graphics and to learn digital arts, also these children are a huge inspiration for the designer as they are the future of this industry ...

Design Idea

At the first glance, it is easy to miss the logic of this glass structure building. But the Design started from a partial consideration: the activates this buildings will require handling and how similar functions will be grouped together? ...

A new big-city Graphic center shows a new chance to work in new fields within open spaces, which requires an new Architectural vision of a building.

The goal of this design is to create truly separate spaces for each zone function & create the inspiration atmosphere and the felling as being working in the outdoors in the same time with the needed isolated space for work.

CGI: Computer Generation Imagery

-Used in computer Graphics especially in special effects, simulators and simulation generally and the main use to make full motion videos.

-It is also used with other technology (Real-Time Computer Graphics) used in video games and here it is called cut-scenes or motion videos...

-CGI generates virtual effects because it is more controllable than physical based processes...
